Performance

The Chevy Silverado 1500 offers four engine options to get the power or efficiency you need for getting around town or merging onto highways near Reed City. Rear-wheel drive models with the 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine earn up to 28 mpg on the highway. This engine also produces a whopping 495 pound-feet of torque.

The Ford F-150 also offers several engine options, but no turbodiesel alternative. Thus, its most efficient powertrain only achieves 25 mpg on the highway. The Ram 1500 also gives you a choice of four engines, but none of them are turbodiesel. It also tops out at 25 mpg on the highway when equipped with a V6. Neither of the Toyota Tundra's two engine selections are turbodiesels, and its best fuel economy estimates are 23 mpg on the highway with the base V6.

Capabilities

Whether you're using a truck as your daily driver or a workhorse, comfort is crucial. Taller drivers from Canadian Lakes, MI will appreciate that the Chevy Silverado 1500 has 44.5 inches of front legroom and 43.1 inches of front headroom. Available power-adjustable seats make it a cinch to get your optimal driving position.

The Ford F-150 only has 43.9 inches of front legroom and 40.8 inches of front headroom. The Ram 1500 provides just 40.9 inches of room for front-seat occupants to stretch their legs. The Toyota Tundra delivers 41.2 inches of front legroom.

Tech Features

The Chevy Silverado 1500 comes standard with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you never need cords to connect with your smartphone apps. The Ford F-150 comes standard with a 12-inch touchscreen, but that's the only size available. It doesn't offer Google-based functions. The Ram 1500's standard infotainment system requires cords for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. A 14.5-inch center touchscreen is available in the Ram 1500, but you must get the range-topping Tungsten trim to have it. The Toyota Tundra has a similar infotainment setup as the Ram 1500, though its uppermost trims offer a 14-inch display.
